Danica Patrick

The debut of Danica Patrick Daytona 500 ended practically within the couple of laps but this 29 year old lady returned to the track in order to finish as merely the woman on third position to race the top events of NASCAR. The car that was driven by Patrick suffered a huge damage the moment she span off the racing track present on the second circuit and subsequently there she got caught up in a crash of five cars and she had to eventually get back to the garage. It took her a lot of time to get the car ready to get back again and when she was back to join again the race had attained the 66th lap.

With Danica Patrick not being eligible for the points of championship cause of her restricted schedule there wasn’t anything left competitive in order to race for. Nevertheless the minuscule racer was undeterred of the fact that there was definitely something that she could achieve by going back and getting involved again in the pack. She told the reporters that although there wasn’t anything substantial to have gained by getting back to the race but there was definitely a purpose of her to return and it was to gain experience and learn the lesson of running right out there. She managed to finish at the 38th place in the race. She added that she began by running in several packs for some time, the vehicle was a bit bent-up and thus it did not feel at place or perfect. And as it went on for a longer time in the race, she somewhat had the feeling of refraining from playing any part and also did not wish to have any kind of effect of influence on it.

This time her participation in the Daytona 500 protocol made the race starter change his announcement to “lady and gentlemen, start your engines”.
